Length: 8 days

An 8-day tour covering Beijing, Xi'an, Hangzhou and Shanghai.

Day 1 Arrive Beijing. Stay at 3-star hotel (own arrangement to hotel, no transfer or guide)
Day 2 Tour with local guide and car + driver to the Great Wall, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven.
Day 3 Tour with local guide and car + driver to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, followed by a tour by cycle rickshaw around the 'hutongs' - the traditional residential areas of old Beijing. Own arrangement to railway station for overnight train to Xi'an.
Day 4 Arrive Xi'an. Pick-up from station and transfer to hotel. Walking tour of Muslim Quarter and Grand Mosque. and tour with own local guide and car + driver to the famous Terracotta Army.
Day 5 Morning flight to Hangzhou (own arrangement to airport). Day free (no transfer to hotel)
Day 6 Transfer to bus station to the small 'water town' of Wuzhen with its old buildings, canals and bridges. Tour Wuzhen. Transfer to bus station for bus to Shanghai. Stay at 3-star hotel (no transfer).
Day 7 Free day.
Day 8 Exit (no transfer).
